Cobbles & Clay – Festive Drinks

Browse for unique gifts on the Main Street cobbles

Haworth’s well-known cobbled Main Street is flanked on both sides by independent shops selling a wide range of items. From gifts, crafts, and books to classic toys, homewares, sweets, and treats to vintage clothes and flowers, there truly is a Christmas present for everyone!

This festive season, shopkeepers have decked out their historic frontages to be more sparkling than ever, making it a must-see. Christmas trees line the street all the way down to Haworth’s traditional “big” tree at the bottom of the hill. Every weekend in December, leading up to Christmas, there will be entertainment ranging from carol singing to brass bands and a nativity parade.

The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway Mince Pie Specials

The Keighley & Worth Valley Railway is a terrific way to get out and about in the winter. Daily Mince Pie Specials trains depart from neighbouring Oxenhope from Boxing Day to January 1st. Travel in style in a toasty Yuletide carriage on a 90-minute round trip that includes mince pies and beautiful Christmas displays along the route. Booking is essential.

Book a Haunted Haworth Ghost Tour

Take a guided ghost tour through the cobblestone alleyways at dusk with ‘Haunted Haworth Tours,’ where the world-famous  Brontë sisters drew inspiration for their novels. The fact that it is a chilly December evening adds to the atmosphere. Book your ticket now to enjoy this interesting look at Haworth’s spooky past.

Take in the grounds of Cliffe Castle at Keighley

Top Tip: A visit to the magnificent Cliffe Castle Museum & Park is a must. The beautiful park occupies the estate planned out for local industrialist Henry Isaac Butterfield. You can explore the house and gardens including the marble fountains, pond, ornamental Victorian rockwork, glasshouses and terraces. There’s also an impressive children’s play area and aviary.
