Friday 8 May marks 75 years since the declaration of Victory in Europe (VE Day) – mark the anniversary with your own VE Day celebration at home. Join in, make home-made flags and decorations, have a tea party, there will be a virtual toast, raising a glass to the war heroes at 3 pm on the day. Have a good old knees up! Show us your photos or videos taking part in the toast or any VE celebration using #BradfordVEDay75 and we will share our favourites.

On #VEDay75 Bradford City Hall clock tower will be illuminating in a patriotic red, white and blue.

A number of the nation’s cathedrals including Bradford Cathedral are uniting this VE Day in a project to remember heroes of the past and present as part of the Big Picnic for Hope.

May is flower month, spring has officially sprung and while we may not be able to enjoy public spaces right now, there’s no better time to take a virtual look at NT East Riddlesden Hall.
