Brown Muff At Night, 1959 Here’s Bradford’s famous department store, Brown Muff, fully illuminated and looking splendid. CH Wood photographed this store many times and was often commissioned to shoot new window displays. He did this at night, partly as there were fewer people around but also to cut down daylight reflection on the glass. To reduce reflection further he and his team would hang a huge black curtain behind the camera. #staylocal . Set off from home this morning on a walk that took in some of the best local routes that we have to hand. We explored part of the Bronte Way that we haven’t walked before with our focus to aim for Thornton Viaduct. . Thornton Viaduct used to be part of the train route that connected various parts of Bradford and is now part of the Great Northern Railway Trail. The railway line was created in 1874 and decommissioned in 1955. There’s plans to open the old railway tunnel at Queensbury to make it part of this trail which would be amazing for walking round here!
