André Rieu invites cinema audiences around the world to join in his birthday celebrations! This unique anniversary event will take you on an unbelievable journey around the world to André’s most amazing concerts, such as Schönbrunn in Vienna, Radio City Music Hall in New York and the Royal Coronation Concert in Amsterdam.
There’s still time to catch the pantomime. Oh yes there is… Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs runs at the Alhambra Theatre, Bradford (until January 26) The much-loved fairy tale will be spectacularly brought to life with an abundance of comedy, sensational song and dance numbers, fabulous costumes and jaw-dropping special effects that you won’t want to miss.
2020 is officially the Year of Cathedrals, Year of Pilgrimage and you can find out more about what that involves at the Bradford Cathedral website. Events begin this month with a coffee concert on Tuesday 14 January from 11am. Entry is free and the first act is baritone singer James Gaughan. The Artspace programme begins on Wednesday 29 January at 7pm with Serenity: Poetry, Song and Music, an open mic event.
Celebrate the 200th birthday of Bradford-born Anne Brontë, one of the world’s greatest 19th century writers at the Delius Arts on January 17. This is a night to throw on your glad-rags, revel in performances, enjoy an evening of live music, poetry, and dancing.

Pop along to Café Scientifique at the National Science + Media Museum (23 January) for an evening discussion event— You’ll hear about, discuss and debate some of the most recent advances and discoveries in science and healthcare, and their importance to society.

A date for your fashion diary, Saturday 25 January – Saltaire Vintage Home & Fashion Fair returns to Victoria Hall, Saltaire. Stalls of genuine vintage loveliness for you and your home including vintage fashion, such as 1940s tea dresses, 1950s frocks, jewellery, accessories, furniture, homewares, vintage vinyl, toys, books, kitchenalia and collectables, all from the 1920s to the 1980s.
