Flying the flag for Yorkshire Day, the chimes of City Hall bell tower will be playing ‘Ilkla Moor Baht ‘at’ the unofficial Yorkshire anthem.
Hats off to Yorkshire Day! Bolling Hall Museum will be brimming with excitement on Yorkshire Day, Thursday 1 August when a whole range of hat-themed activities will take place. Topping off the day will be the Yorkshire Open Hat Throwing Championships, the first time the historic hall has played host to the sport. #hatthrowing
Ilkley Summer Festival – is bursting with loads of events & music for the whole family. The festival kicks off on Yorkshire Day (August 1) with Ilkley’s Town Crier, along with music and entertainment around the town.
Highlights of Ilkley Summer Festival
- The continental market takes place on the Grove on August 9, 10 and 11.

- The traditional Last Night of the Proms entertainment takes place on August 31. Featuring the Marsden Silver Prize. Tickets are available from Ilkley Visitor Information Centre.
Enjoy a summer of magical movie moments at Bradford Family Film Festival. City Park will be at the heart of the festival – with regular free films on Bradford Big Screen every Wednesday in August.
The Broadway goes wild this summer with the installation of a jungle forest playground to keep your little ones entertained during the summer holidays!
