girlaboutyorkshire  When the rain catches you out head to Worth Valley Railway in Keighley and jump on a stream train. I got a huge dollop of nostalgia, kids got to make friends with a fat controller and a coal covered stream train driver and Mr T got to read all about the history of the railway in the museums along the way.

cathjolleys  Old man Bronte enjoyed an embroidered bedspread #haworth.

Lets inspire you! – Whether you’re visiting for the day or staying with us a little longer; why not get cultural at one of our free attractions.

jdphoto_gb Cliffe Castle in Keighley. Originally home to millionaire and textile manufacturer Henry Isaac Butterfield – Now a museum showcasing these rooms with excellent paintings and art.

lukejstaunton  Heraldic stained-glass window(s) at Bolling Hall, Bradford, showing the shields of various families. The architecture is a staccato mix of styles with the initial structure dating back to two 14th century towers. The hall is remembered as a Royalist base during the English Civil War through the popular tale of a ghost purportedly waking the Royalist commander the Earl of Newcastle and imploring him to ‘pity poor Bradford’.

In September we are looking forward to the Bradford Bubble Up.  A city themed city-wide, water-themed weekender. (8 & 9 September 2018)
