Take a lunchtime stroll. However short your break, get up from your desk. Get outdoors and beat the January blues – the perfect way to blow away the cobwebs and enjoy some time with others.
Bradford is the ideal place to explore on foot, with many of the city’s attractions and landmarks all within a short walk of each other.
Team up with work mates
Diana & Lisa’s 30-minute brisk walk! Making the most of our lunch breaks.
Where to go
Monday: – One of our most popular walks around Bradford is the Green Mile ( a circular one-mile walking route) winding our way through Little Germany enjoying the beautiful architecture of this historic part of the city, next to the Cathedral. An easily accessible city loop for walking, following green markers set in the pavement.
Don’t miss amazing places to photograph in Little Germany. Along the way we discovered ‘The Old Quaker School’ signage on Cater Street.
Tuesday:- We head to the top of the city centre, Darley Street into the Market. Taking advantage of the sights and smells, a picnic lunch put together quickly. Then to Northgate to pose with the Oastler statue, onto North Parade down Manor Row, past the striking old former County Courthouse and back to base.
Wednesday:- We take a walk around the tranquil City Park stumbling across a giant game of chess outside the Pavillion cafe. Past the wonderful Alhambra Theatre, wandering into the Science + Media Museum to get cultured and to add some steps.
Checkmate! Play Giant Chess in City Park. Wednesdays 1-4pm (weather permitting)
Thursday:- Where should we go tomorrow……?!?!
Consider stepping away from your desk for a bit. You might return feeling refreshed, revitalised, and find some surprising finds along the way!
