Raise a glass to the return of the Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Steam and Ale Trail 10/11 June.  Beer lovers can hop on /off the Railway’s historic steam trains and enjoy a pint of fine Yorkshire ale from a selection of local breweries. At Ingrow there will also be musical entertainment on Saturday and family entertainment on the Sunday. 

Sonia Sandhu’s Indian Street Food: Vegan Kitchen Takeover.  16 June, Sonia Sandhu will be taking over Bradford Brewery’s kitchen once again.  With a brand new menu up her sleeve she’ll be sharing her delicious homemade vegan food, with a uniqueness inspired by Indian street food.

The Aegon Ilkley Trophy tennis tournament is set to be a big hit, welcoming a host of international tennis players, who will stake their claim on the pristine grass courts of the Ilkley Lawn Tennis & Squash Club.  17-25 June, don’t miss your chance to be front row at this exciting tournament.

A golden opportunity to feast your eyes on some spectacular treasures.  Visit the Splendours of the Subcontinent at Cartwright Hall, an exhibition of dazzling Indian treasures from the Royal Collection. It’s the only chance to see the collection in the north of England!

Try something new, do something different! “Lates: Dreams” at the National Science + Media Museum 22 June,  explore the science behind dreaming, looking at how cutting-edge technologies might soon allow us to record and influence dreams, and exploring how pinhole cameras create such enchanting imagery.

If mods, rockers, Lambrettas and the Beatles evoke fond memories, then Haworth 1960s weekend is the place to be 24/25 June.  Relive the sights and sounds of the 60s. Visitors are encouraged to dress up!

The Shipley Street Arts Festival returns to the town from June 23 to 25, the weekend will feature acts including circus performers, puppetry and dance.  This year’s theme is exploration.  Flying over from America to headline the Saturday and Sunday of this year’s festival is Peter Sweet and David Poznanter’s acclaimed circus act BOOM! Other acts playing over the weekend are puppeteer Lori Hopkins, the puppetry consultant for Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. As well as performing her acclaimed show The Explorer, she will be running two exclusive masterclasses where people can explore the art of puppeteering with one of the industry’s best.  Another highlight will be Professor Percy Veer bringing his family show Rockets and Robots to the festival.

Saltaire Vintage Home & Fashion Fair at Victoria Hall is Saturday 24 June & Sunday 25 June with nearly 50 stalls of beautiful genuine vintage! Expect to find oodles of fashion plus records and other vintage gadgets for sale.  Celebrating vintage for its quality, history, timelessness, and the excitement of finding a real vintage bargain or total one-off.

Roald Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox is family fun at its finest at the Alhambra theatre, 28 June – 2 July.  A juicy tale of greed, pride and the power of friendship, this flagship production for the Roald Dahl centenary celebrations, promises a dahlicious theatrical feast with live music and songs and gloriumptious designs. A wondercrump treat for the whole family!
